For everyone

What is Jaypees?

A marketplace app (iOS and Android) that connects customers with independent skilled workers such as carpenters, plumbers, electricians, cleaners and laundry providers. You book, chat, pay and review all in one place.

Where is Jaypees available?

We are starting in Metro Manila and expanding based on where we have enough verified workers. Join the waitlist on our website and tell us your city.

How do I sign in?

With your Philippine mobile number. We text you a one-time password (OTP). There is no password to remember. Never share the code with anyone.

Do I need to be 18?

Yes. Jaypees is for adults only.

For customers

How do I book a worker?

Choose a service, browse verified workers near you, and send a request with your address, preferred time and job details. The worker accepts or declines. Once accepted, you pay in the app.

What does "Verified" mean?

The worker submitted two valid government IDs, a police clearance issued within the last 6 months and a resume or biodata, and our team reviewed them. It confirms identity checks, not skill or future behaviour. Please also read ratings and reviews.

How does payment work?

After the worker accepts, you pay via HitPay using GCash, Maya, cards, QR Ph or other methods shown at checkout. We hold the payment until the job is done. When the worker marks it complete, you confirm to release payment. If you do not respond, it is released automatically after 72 hours.

Is there an extra fee for customers?

The price you see is hourly rate multiplied by estimated hours. [CONFIRM: no additional customer fee at launch.]

What if the job takes longer or needs materials?

Agree changes with the worker in the in-app chat before the extra work starts. [CONFIRM how the app handles price changes.]

Can I cancel?

Yes. Cancel for free before the worker accepts. If you have already paid and the worker has not started, you get a refund. Late-cancellation fees may apply close to the start time [CONFIRM]. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

What if the worker does not show up or the work is poor?

Open a dispute in the app before payment is released (within 72 hours of completion). Our team reviews chat, photos and descriptions and decides on a refund or release.

Is my address safe?

Your address is shared only with the worker for your accepted booking. See our Privacy Notice.

Does Jaypees guarantee the work?

No. Workers are independent contractors and responsible for their work. Jaypees provides verification, payment protection, ratings and dispute handling. See our Terms of Service.

For workers

How do I become a worker?

  1. Download the app and sign up with your mobile number as a Worker.
  2. Complete your profile: services, rates, base area and availability.
  3. Give consent and upload two valid government IDs (different types), a police clearance issued within the last 6 months (an NBI clearance is accepted in its place if you already have one), a resume or the barangay biodata form, and a selfie.
  4. Submit for review. We will tell you in the app if you are approved or if something needs fixing.
  5. Once approved, you appear to customers and can accept bookings.

Which IDs are accepted?

Examples: passport, driver's licence, UMID, PhilSys National ID, PRC ID, postal ID, voter's ID, SSS ID, TIN ID, PhilHealth ID. See the Worker Verification (KYC) Policy for the current list.

Why do you need my police clearance and resume?

To help protect customers who let workers into their homes, and to check who you are and what you do. A police clearance is sensitive data and your resume holds personal details, so we restrict access, log every access, and delete them according to our retention schedule. See the KYC Policy and Privacy Notice.

How much does Jaypees charge?

A 12% platform fee, deducted from your payout. For example, on a PHP 1,000 job, the fee is PHP 120 and your payout is PHP 880. There are no sign-up fees. [CONFIRM: any payout/processing fees.]

When do I get paid?

When the customer confirms completion, or automatically 72 hours after you mark the job completed if there is no dispute. Payout goes to the account you registered [CONFIRM payout method and timing].

Am I an employee of Jaypees?

No. You are an independent contractor. You choose your jobs, rates and hours. You are responsible for your own taxes and contributions. See the Worker Agreement.

Can I take payment outside the app?

Please do not. Off-platform payment removes your protection and the customer's, and breaches our rules.

How do ratings work?

Customers rate you from 1 to 5 stars after a completed booking. Your average appears on your profile.

Safety

What if I feel unsafe?

How do I delete my account?
